best banh mi i've ever had. hands down. and I've had it in several cities! Houston has some of the best vietnamese food. every time I'm visiting my parents in Houston, I pick up a sandwich for the drive back to Austin. :)

They use the same tongs to grab the meat and the tofu in their sandwiches. Has anyone had a different experience or have any advice.

I had the same experience. We stopped going there once that was noted. Sadly, most places have this issue.

Yes, I can see if you are vegan/veg for religious reasons this can pose a very big problem; Maybe I can write to them to see if they can just use fresh plastic gloves or whatnot to make veg dishes if separate tongs are too cumbersome for the lineprep process

I was a regular until I noticed they used the same utensils, bummer I had to stop :(. I wouldn't consider this place vegan friendly, even vegetarians should be grossed out by the cross contamination.
