It may not always be marketed as such, but plenty of vegan food is out there. Please include the Mission burrito on West Alabama. I love that place. I just moved the Medical Center and my in-laws live around Hobby, so I can give you the names of some places to try in those areas once I find out for myself if you're interested. :o)
Could you please tell me where good vegan indian food is which is *not* madras? cause I went there and bombay sweets had horrible experiences.
I just want some decent samosas, dammit.
I didn't actually move the Medical Center, but I did move TO the Medical Center...
Udipi Vegetarian Indian Cuisine - in Sugar Land, one on Hilcroft and another coming in Katy. My husband and I go there at least 2x per month (which is a lot for us). It is wonderful and reasonable.

Don't forget Duy's Sandwiches right next to Quan Yin! They have great Mock Meat Vietnamese Sandwiches. So good, mmmmm! And it's only 2.50 or 3 bucks :)
Btw good Indian places to eat with plenty of Vegetarian food (not necessarily Vegan..but their are vegan dishes) are IndianWok and Dakshan on the NW side of Houston
